The Bridal Ballet

If you’re perusing Wed Savvy, you are probably not a stranger to the wedding world.  Though I try to post content that has yet to be widely published, I could not resist covering one of the hottest trends in bridal:

Ballet Inspired Weddings!

I recommend watching this short ballerina bride video.  It was created from the scenes of a lovely photo shoot for WedLuxe magazine (Canada), showing the current ballet-inspired wedding craze.  Below is a photo preview…

In case you missed the brilliant ballet feature from Martha Stewart Weddings, here is a glimpse of the fantastic pictorial.  You can also view the video coverage from behind the scenes of the bridal ballerina shoot on Darcy Miller’s blog: The Bride’s Guide

Being one of the many little girls who dreamed of one day becoming a pro ballerina, I am completely enamored by this theme.

Who wouldn’t want to be the stunning ballerina bride pictured below?  Asian Bees Photography captured this gorgeous image.  Kudos to them!

Bridal designers have undoubtedly channeled the beauty of ballerinas in their latest frilly and feminine collections.  Tulle, satin and chiffon fabrics, often in abundance, create dramatic and fairy tale looks that scream romance.  Here are just a few of my favorites ballet inspired gowns:

Ballerina’s are the ultimate picture of elegance and femininity.  Think “ultra-romantic” when choosing your ballet-inspired wedding details.  Here are some of my feminine finds:
